KAM Isaiah Israel (Chicago, IL)
KAM Isaiah Israel
KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation is an energized, urban, Reform congregation located in the Hyde Park-Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. As the oldest Jewish congregation in the Midwest, KAM Isaiah Israel strives to be a transformative Reform Jewish community. Through intentional inclusion, KAM Isaiah Israel’s congregational family builds and strengthens our Jewish community with engaged worship, enlightened lifelong learning, and impactful social justice work. We work to ensure that our community is a safe, inviting, and inspirational place where all members of our family pray, learn, celebrate, and connect.
The Executive Director will nurture a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and foster a deep sense of collaboration among all stakeholders while serving as the key professional managing KAM Isaiah Israel’s daily operations, including all programs, events, board of directors’ affairs, fiscal management, membership, communications, fundraising, and non-clergy staff.
The position reports to KAM Isaiah Israel’s Board of Directors through the President and is a fast-paced job requiring a significant commitment of time and energy, as well as the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. This position presents a unique opportunity to direct a congregation that has both a deep and storied history and a membership eager for innovation and expansion. Though we are the oldest Jewish congregation in Chicago (currently celebrating our 175th anniversary), we continually look forward and are seeking an experienced leader who is energized by the opportunity to help shape our next chapter by developing and deepening our culture of participation, leadership and philanthropy.
KAMII has approximately 300 member units and 775 total members and a budget of $1,400,000.
